The Polish Ambassador to Space

The Polish Ambassador to Space (based on the real-life international EDM artist The Polish Ambassador) is a lighthearted interdimensional space-adventure comedy romp akin to series such as Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Buckaroo Banzai, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

TPATS was my graphic novel follow-up to Jazz Legend. While Jazz Legend has a much darker adult tone, with TPATS, I wanted a much more lighthearted approach geared more toward young adults. David Sugalski (the real-life Polish Ambassador) and I worked closely on the book for a few years, and honestly, I love what we made. The book was originally signed to A Wave Blue World for publication, but… the pandemic hit, and few businesses were hit harder than brick-and-mortar comic book shops (which led to us amicably dissolving our publishing deal). Instead, David decided to have his own record label, Jumpsuit Inc, release the book directly to fans via his social media networks. Although this choice was less than we intended, the book did go to a second printing (which, given the circumstances of the pandemic, I’ll call a win lol).  

About the Story: As usual, all the hubbub was for naught. Computers didn’t magically explode after Y2K, the world didn’t end in 2012 after that whole Mayan calendar thing, and Earth certainly wasn’t transported to an alternate dimension after Switzerland fired up the world’s largest high-energy particle collider. Yup… things are A-okay! Hmm… actually, on second thought, scratch that last part. It appears that monsters, freaks, and all manner of strange abominations have begun running amok across the globe. Understanding the sensitive nature of this particularly unusual situation, the United Nations to Space has no other choice but to send in their funkiest diplomat… The Polish Ambassador!
